Community Coastal Hazard Photos

Impacts associated with flood hazards aren’t limited to people and property located along the Atlantic Ocean or Delaware Bay. In fact, flooding-related damage and hazards and development in flood-prone areas are common in many communities throughout Delaware.

Improved education, planning, design, and construction techniques could lead to a reduction in the costs associated with flood hazards. These photographs of community hazards and flooding have been posted to increase awareness and encourage property owners and communities to take measures towards flood mitigation and coastal hazard reduction.
