John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship

This award allows students interested in marine, ocean, and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources to spend a year in Washington, D.C., working with agency personnel or with personnel in the office of a U.S. Senator or Representative. It is open to all students enrolled in a graduate or professional program in a marine- or aquatic-related field.

National Marine Fisheries Service – Sea Grant Joint Graduate Fellowship Program in Population Dynamics and Marine Resource Economics

Fisheries Fellows will work on issues of public interest and relevance to the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Internships are housed at participating NMFS Science Centers or Laboratories under the guidance of NMFS mentors. Prospective fellows must be United States citizens and at the time of application, must be admitted or provisionally accepted to a doctoral degree program.

NOAA Coastal Management Fellowship Program

The Coastal Management Fellowship was established in 1996 to provide on-the-job education and training opportunities in coastal resource management and policy for postgraduate students and to provide project assistance to state coastal zone management programs. The program matches postgraduate students with state coastal zone programs to work on projects proposed by the state and selected by the fellowship sponsor, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Coastal Services Center. This two-year opportunity offers a competitive salary, medical benefits, and travel and relocation expense reimbursement.
