Project: Offshore Wind Power for Delaware in a Marine Spatial Planning Context (R/SCD-1)

Researchers involved with this project will determine which areas off the Delaware coast are most suitable for wind power development. They will consider aspects such as available wind resources and underwater geology together with existing uses such as fishing or shipping. The project, which will result in multi-layered maps that allow easy analysis of all the features studied, will inform the siting of possible offshore wind developments in the years to come.
