Plans and Funding
Funding up to $15,000 is available for projects that assist the program in meeting our stated mission and goals. Applications will be accepted until 4:00 pm EDT Monday, May 2. Funding will be available for September 1, 2016 start dates and work must be completed by January 31, 2018.
The National Sea Grant College Program released its 2014–2017 strategic plan, which is organized around four focus areas:
- Healthy Coastal Ecosystems
- Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture
- Resilient Communities and Economies
- Environmental Literacy and Workforce Development
In response to the national plan, the Delaware Sea Grant College Program issued its 2014–2017 strategic plan, which provides an overview of the program and its top priorities in marine research, education, and public outreach. The plans identify strategic issues of importance to the state of Delaware, the mid-Atlantic region, and the nation. The Delaware plan also specifies how Delaware Sea Grant’s efforts will align with National Sea Grant Program’s four focus areas.
