Shellfish Hatchery Panel Discussion

  • St. Martha's Episcopal Church 117 Maplewood Street Bethany Beach, DE, 19930 United States (map)

Join us at St. Martha’s Episcopal Church on Thursday, April 21, in the parish hall in Bethany Beach for a public panel discussion on water quality in Delaware’s inland bays and the need for a shellfish hatchery.

Speakers will include UD professor and researcher Ed Hale, Center for Inland Bays executive director Chris Bason, and lifelong waterman Steve Friend. They’ll explain the need for a shellfish hatchery in Delaware (the only east coast state without one except NH) to provide sound ecological and economic activity that improves our waterways, creates jobs, and aids oyster farmers.
